What If AI welcomes contributors from all backgrounds to explore the big questions of AI governance — through ideas, stories, and solutions. Whether you’re a student, a professional, a researcher, or simply a curious thinker, there’s a place for your voice here. We value diverse perspectives, especially from those outside traditional policy and tech spaces, including journalism, design, health, education, activism, and beyond.
-
Exploratory writing: Pieces that ask “what if…” or probe gaps in current governance.
Topics we welcome: As long as your piece explores some aspect of AI governance, we’d love to see it. Bring us your questions, reflections, and thought experiments.
Solution-oriented: Articles that don’t just raise problems but propose ideas, experiments, or new angles.
Accessible language: Writing that’s clear, jargon-light, and readable by non-experts.
Fresh perspectives: Contributions from outside traditional policy/tech spaces are especially welcome (journalism, law, design, health, education, activism, etc.).
-
Length: 800–1,200 words (short enough to be readable, long enough to explore).
Style: Conversational, curious, and accessible. Think essay, reflection, or case-study style — not academic papers.
Citations: Use footnotes or hyperlinks where relevant. The goal is to make sources easy for readers to access without disrupting the flow of the piece.
Edits & Feedback: We’ll collaborate with you on light editing for clarity, style, and alignment with the platform.
Originality: Submissions should be original pieces.
Attribution: Contributors are fully credited, with a short bio and link to their work or profile.
